Established in 1953, Jack Barry Little League is the Little League Baseball & Softball home for many families in Worcester's Grafton Hill and East Side neighborhoods. From our start as a Little League baseball program for 11 & 12 year-old boys in the 1950's, our program has expanded over the years to include softball and tee-ball. We now offer programs for boys and girls ages 4 to 12 in our Little League program, with extended opportunities for older players in our Intermediate and Senior divisions. In addition to our traditional spring season for all divisions, we offer a fall program at most levels. Jack Barry Softball is also the softball home for neighboring leagues including Lou Gehrig LL, Ty Cobb LL & Joe DiMaggio LL, as these leagues do not offer softball.
Harrington Field, at the corner of Harrington Way and Franklin Street, is the home of Jack Barry Little League. Our facility offers three fields, Little League, Softball and Tee-Ball, along with a two-tunnel batting cage and concession stand. Our Baseball district includes the area south of Interstate 290 and east of Lincoln Street to Lincoln Square, north of Belmont Street to Plantation Street & then east of Plantation Street and Grafton Street to Lake Quinsigamond and the city line with Millbury and Shrewsbury. Our Softball district extends north to Interstate 290, down Park Avenue to Elm Park and southwest to the Leicester & Auburn town lines. Any player residing in OR attending a school located within our district is eligible to play at Jack Barry (boundaries are sport-specific - softball boundaries cannot be applied to a baseball player).
Jack Barry Little League is a chartered member of Little League Baseball & Softball and competes in Massachusetts District 4. MA District 4 is comprised of 8 Worcester Little Leagues along with surrounding towns of Holden, Paxton, Rutland, Boylston, West Boylston, Sterling, Princeton, Clinton and Berlin.
